Index note AI crystal ball; "space of chairs, space of 3d printers"

Seers or oracles have existed for a long time. Humans have predicted or foretold futures, based on their conscious intuition, observation and reasoning.

Current AI models can say what the future can be, but in a fuzzy manner.

A more refined approximate more accurate but still quite fuzzy prediction can be obtained with detailed understanding and reasoning. Note that these are predictions for events that are steady or say easy to predict.

A more fundamental crystal-ball of AI (two versions, one with the unknowns, and one predicting the entire reality without unknown as if the reality is shown itself, i.e. ideal). one with the unknowns, much like a human with all knowable knowledge and observations to predict the future can predict future accurately, but subject to sparry uncertainties of unknowns.

A part about reality is that it is hard to predict, sometimes it is steered towards prediction(wanted) or away (unwanted). Based on observation (or known state) and model fo the system, future states can be obtained. But what matters more to a human is the accurate predictions that are useful to know, which can be individualistic, forming a generic space. AI models seem to capture this effectively, abstractly, some part of it, for e.g. in images through space of chairs, space of 3d printers, space of gadgets. where it spans over all existing possible such space, not restricted to current present reality, but transcending all time.
