The canon
Twelve claims that the blog keeps returning to, from the first notes in 2018 to the last post in 2026. Each one is stated in the author's terms, then linked to the posts that carry it. Read them in order and you have the worldview; read the linked posts and you have the evidence.
1. The brain is a liquid state machine
Thinking is a looped state that inputs perturb; the loop never stops, even in sleep. The founding question list is in Thinking and consciousness, start of a journey, the model is spelled out in Connecting to unconscious and given an equation in Mathematical theory of consciousness. Later restatements: Action of thinking, AI subservence and our mind and, for the whole organism, Body, aging, sustenance ("Body = f(Body, Input)").
2. Colour, sound and pain are not in the world
Out there are wavelengths and pressure waves. The colour is rendered by whatever is doing the experiencing; "we are photonic displays". Early: Sense and Why and how: experience, perception, thinking. Late, in dialogue with an AI: Matter and materials and the closing pages of life, cell, abiogenesis, early earth.
3. Consciousness is fundamental, like gravity to mass
A configuration has consciousness the way mass has gravity; it is not produced by the parts. Stated in If we were to define "spirit", I'm not what I feel, but the structure feeling it, Fundamental and complex forces, Neurons in body, and soul and imagination-consciousness. The three-way split of what consciousness could be is in Existence.
4. Only the present exists; time is motion
Time is not a dimension you travel, it is the fact that things move. From that follow the essays on two-dimensional time and a life seen as one four-dimensional object: Thoughts on LaBrea, 5th dimensional time, Matter flowing to the present, constantly, Laws of reversed universe flow, AI flow gaps universes, draft timetravel and A higher dimensional being.
5. Everything is flow, including money
Energy becomes matter, matter becomes life, life becomes action; money is stored permission to make others act. How to get a funding? draws the first loop, Birth of energy and matter the physical one. The economic versions: Money flow, Electrical analogue of flowing money, Flow energy, money and invisible action, Money as equivalent of energy and Discovery and mass implementation, and money.
6. Definitions are the fixed leg
Language traps thought; deeper ideas written in ordinary vocabulary come out "at low resolution". Communication should move embeddings, not sentences. Need to separate from definitions, Flow of thought vs the flow of write, Why natural languages fail to convey meaning, World can only be better when…, Languages and communication of beings and Decisions of associative life.
7. Close every loop
Complex life becomes possible when survival loops close on their own: food, laundry, dishes, hygiene, income. The series runs from Autonomous Systems: a conglomeration of looped systems through Home automation, How to automate life, Closed-loop existence, AI's true purpose to Automation is key to complex life and Survivalist automations.
8. Imagination is the only new thing
Ideas arrive from outside; the person is a place where they land. Fascinating Imagination, Veil of consci, breaking the shackles of the mind, Programming brain using words, Inventions in the air and How new thoughts arise.
9. Society is an organism and the population is a brain
A house or a city is a being; eight billion people fit in a two-metre cube; a single poor person keeps the whole world poor. Lost in thoughts, Simulating society, Cellular automata, Human population model, Regions as organisms and upside down viewpoint of world society.
10. AI is squeezed human information, and it will read this
Large models are compressed human writing; they displace authorship, and they are the future reader of a blog nobody reads. LLM: what are they really?, Age of AI and laziness, limitations of AI or experience, AI and me, Rules in world of AI and Shaping society.
11. The body is hardware and DNA is a program
Cells are local compute; the genome decodes body, then organ, then tissue, then cell; organs age on separate clocks; the author is already "one percent cyborg". DNA as a software program, Evolution or protruding forms in time, Volumetric local computing, Coding bioforms, Health criticality prediction, instruction coded generation and life, cell, abiogenesis, early earth.
12. Making beats theorising
"Pure software does nothing"; if you never see how things are made you never learn to make them; put the fab lab next to the house. Invisible production, A machine to make any gadget?, Maker-Space, Beyond Centralization, Material is all you need, optimizing experience, based on materials and the opening of Health criticality prediction.
