well rettina just gives vision stream signal, goes through vison cortex first, then goes through language center, then from language goes to real-world-mapping center-feeling center to feel about certain idea, which can be all over the place, but localized region stores certain knowledge and its structure,

so when new information comes in again next time, it updates that relevent portion in the brain
