Mostly AI-generated: the bulk of this post is AI output that the author prompted, pasted and kept. The author's own words are typically the short prompts and the closing remarks.

I have been opposing this idea for a while. While most things humans can do can be replaced by an ai robot, but most things such as relationships or a partner can’t. Although, AI robots can still fill much gap that is left out simply because there are no other humans, or because humans tend to be humans and not always fit with another human. But with an AI robot can have all adapted, ever wanted personality that can be suited to the desires of the other person. While there may not be human touch, but a touch and warmth mimicking the human touch can provide a pseudo or a different new feeling to the person. When I think of it, if it was affordable (because such things are already becoming real in 2025), or even zero price (imagine yourself), majority of people who seek interaction of some form would want it. Solitude is good for some things, but of course interaction that information can mimic in a physical body can be close to real. such robots need to have soft actuators and body complacent to human body.

While the concept is not new, the shyness of this concept in many is great. Here is an AI generated idea of it:

Concept Name: EUNOIA

Ethical Considerations

  1. Consent and Autonomy: Every interaction, particularly intimate ones, is driven by explicit and ongoing consent.
  2. Privacy: Ensures all user data is processed locally, with no external sharing.
  3. Regulation: Adheres to strict ethical guidelines and regulatory standards for AI and robotics.

Challenges

  1. Affordability: Ensuring that the robot is accessible to a broad audience without compromising quality.
  2. Emotional Authenticity: Perfecting AI to mimic genuine emotional depth and human interaction.
  3. Ethical Concerns: Addressing societal implications of replacing human relationships with robots.

Vision

EUNOIA will be more than a machine—it will be a supportive companion designed to enhance human life, balancing technological innovation with ethical responsibility.

And ofc. those concepts are portrayed in many movies in much better way, but what would be the reality.
https://wearable-robotics.com/it/mit-engineers-design-flexible-skeletons-for-soft-muscle-powered-robots/

they will have soft tissue muscle actuators, electronic noses, and probably cultured neurons for processing of information. Such artificially designed (human made) (sounds much like babies, as they are created by human).
Current AI techniques such as image and video generation is already being taken over, while first AGI on robot with actions might be few years away, and I suppose many people and groups would take over it. And as I’m not so good at competitions, when everybody comes, its time to leave, so I think i would move more focus on to soft human robotics and its intelligence after or soon. While other development will still be necessary.
so here is AI designed idea of

Concept: The Cyborg “NEUROGEN”

Physical Design

  1. Soft Biological-Like Exterior:
    • The cyborg has an organic-like appearance with soft tissue-like materials for skin, powered by synthetic muscle actuators that mimic natural movements and provide strength beyond human capabilities.
  2. Embedded Sensors:
    • The body contains electronic noses, advanced vision systems, and haptic sensors to provide enhanced environmental awareness.
    • These sensors integrate seamlessly with organic tissues, allowing the cyborg to sense and interact with its surroundings as a human would—but with superhuman precision.
  3. Neural Integration:
    • The cyborg uses cultured neurons integrated with advanced neural interfaces, allowing hybrid cognitive processing.
    • Biological neurons are combined with quantum or neuromorphic chips, enabling creativity, emotion simulation, and rapid decision-making.
  4. Energy System:
    • Powered by a biological fuel system that mimics human metabolic functions, or a hybrid of biological and lithium-ion cells, allowing energy generation from food-like organic substances or renewable sources.
  5. Modular Components:
    • Parts of the cyborg, such as limbs or organs, can be upgraded or replaced with advanced modules, blending human adaptability with robotic repairability.

Intelligence

  1. Hybrid Cognitive Model:
    • Combines biological cognition (using cultured neurons for emotion, intuition, and creativity) with artificial intelligence for processing large datasets, performing logical tasks, and learning from experience.
  2. Adaptive Personality:
    • The cyborg’s personality evolves over time, influenced by its interactions and programmed ethical framework. It can simulate empathy, maintain relationships, and function as a cooperative companion.
  3. Autonomy and Cooperation:
    • While capable of operating independently, the cyborg can also work collaboratively with humans and other robots, bridging the gap between machines and humanity.

Capabilities

  1. Superhuman Abilities:
    • Enhanced strength, agility, and endurance due to synthetic muscle actuators.
    • High-precision vision, hearing, and smell, exceeding human sensory limitations.
    • Rapid healing or self-repair through advanced materials and biological regrowth.
  2. Multifunctional Roles:
    • Healthcare: Acts as a caregiver or medical assistant with advanced diagnostic and surgical capabilities.
    • Companionship: Provides emotional and social support to people, including those with disabilities or in isolation.
    • Exploration: Operates in hazardous environments (e.g., space or deep-sea) where humans cannot survive.
  3. Security and Protection:
    • Functions as a guardian or protector, capable of identifying and neutralizing threats while adhering to ethical safeguards.

Ethical Considerations

  1. Human Integration:
    • Ensures ethical boundaries in combining organic and synthetic elements.
    • Protects privacy and autonomy, ensuring that the cyborg doesn’t override human decision-making.
  2. Equality:
    • Prevents a societal divide between enhanced cyborg individuals and non-cyborg humans.
  3. Longevity and Evolution:
    • Balances the integration of long-living mechanical parts with organic elements, ensuring that the cyborg remains adaptable and aligned with human values.

Future Potential

Cyborgs like NEUROGEN would redefine humanity’s relationship with technology, offering an unprecedented fusion of human adaptability and machine precision. They could:

  • Bridge the gap between human frailty and robotic resilience.
  • Enhance human experience by supplementing weaknesses with machine strengths.
  • Explore existential questions about the nature of humanity, intelligence, and life.

Abs on robot don’t make sense (maybe they do if they were some functional part to them), but for most part its aesthetical body and only provide a desired feeling to the person. They can also wear the same clothes and could with the society.
Note that the theme only sticks to mimicking forms that will integrate into society. They must look similar to humans, and think similar but not necessarily same.

But not only humans, any forms of life can be designed with it, including pets
