Few consciousness books
Index note ChatGPT list (Radin, McTaggart, Talbot, Rosenblum); Bohm implicate order; "a person is a musical instrument played by the universe"
There is a theory in which consciousness may as well affect matter and vice versa, we are driven by impulses and urges which stem from physical processes, but we also have our own goals that could manifest our body, connecting properly to the control of it is necessary for better version of us. And as with any of it we could become the optimal version of ourselves. (Yea I had to use potential minimisation tricks in thinking of it here).
Asked to ChatGPT3.5 about such books.
Response from ChatGPT.
- “The Conscious Universe: The Scientific Truth of Psychic Phenomena” by Dean Radin: This book explores the scientific evidence and research behind psychic phenomena, such as telepathy, precognition, and remote viewing. Dean Radin, a parapsychologist, presents empirical data and theoretical frameworks to support the idea that consciousness extends beyond the confines of the physical body.
- “The Field: The Quest for the Secret Force of the Universe” by Lynne McTaggart: Lynne McTaggart explores the concept of a universal energy field that connects everything in the cosmos. The book delves into scientific research and anecdotal evidence to propose that this field, influenced by consciousness, underlies our physical reality and can be harnessed for healing and other transformative purposes.
- “The Holographic Universe” by Michael Talbot: In this book, Michael Talbot explores the holographic nature of the universe, drawing connections between modern physics, metaphysics, and mysticism. The author suggests that reality may be akin to a hologram, with consciousness playing a central role in creating and perceiving the illusory nature of our physical world.
- “The Intention Experiment: Using Your Thoughts to Change Your Life and the World” by Lynne McTaggart: Lynne McTaggart presents the idea that focused intention and collective consciousness can have tangible effects on our personal lives and the world around us. The book discusses scientific studies and practical experiments to demonstrate the power of intention and how it can shape reality.
- “Quantum Enigma: Physics Encounters Consciousness” by Bruce Rosenblum and Fred Kuttner: This book explores the intersection of quantum physics and consciousness. The authors delve into the mysteries of quantum mechanics and discuss the philosophical implications, including the role of consciousness in the measurement process and the potential connections between quantum phenomena and our subjective experience.
“Bohm discussed the experience of listening to music. He believed that the feeling of movement and change that make up our experience of music derive from holding the immediate past and the present in the brain together. The musical notes from the past are transformations rather than memories. The notes that were implicated in the immediate past become explicate in the present. Bohm viewed this as consciousness emerging from the implicate order.[citation needed]” [from wiki]
This makes me think like a person is like a musical instrument being played by the universe, much more like we are played in a experience manner, and our response waves affect the world around us, all based on what we feel, what we perceive, and what we are capable of thinking of. Oh what we have acquired over the evolution till today, our body and our spirit, perhaps our feelings as well which were bound to exist in this universe when we chose our way as it came.
